Real Porsche owners know that fantastic balance makes them the greatest Winter driving machine, but that doesn’t mean that the laws of physics don’t apply. Especially when those laws are tested by a moronic young man.
YouTuber Richard Stewart’s dash camera caught this Porsche Cayman getting wildly out of control on the streets of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. The driver sits impatiently waiting for the traffic lights to turn green, before mashing the throttle right to the floor. As the surface changes from wet to slushy and then dry, the driver loses control and jumps the centre island. Inexplicably, he stays in the throttle and never really regains control, fish-tailing all over until hitting the far curb hard enough to lose a wheel. It is miraculous that he didn’t hit any oncoming traffic.
The comments from locals on the video indicate that the driver was likely the son of the car’s owner and police did catch up with him at the side of the road.
