Every year, the Insurance Bureau of Canada(IBC) releases a list of the most stolen vehicles in the country. For years, that list was topped by the Honda Civic and Acura Integra, most notably the much sought after Type R. These days however, the list is much different, reflecting the market trend away from cars as consumers gravitate towards light trucks and crossovers.
On a national level, the list consists of a range of Ford work trucks, with the Ford F-350 4×4 topping the chart. In fact, the 2006 Cadillac Escalade, which is the fourth most stolen vehicle in the country, is the only vehicle in the top ten which is not an F-Series.
In Ontario, the list takes on a more family oriented feel.
