Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario (Friday, October 29, 2010) – Cadillac was today honoured by the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC), which named the 2011 Cadillac CTS-V as the “.”

“The CTS-V Coupe is the ultimate luxury performance coupe and the new focal point of Cadillac, expressing our design, performance and technical capabilities,” said Kevin Williams, president and managing director, GM Canada. “Packing more punch, luxury and technical sophistication per dollar than any other competitor, the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe brings the performance and luxury of exotics into a price range that discerning Canadians can embrace.

This latest award for the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe results from recent back-to-back driving evaluations of 48 new vehicles at the AJAC Test Fest evaluation – the foundation of the Canadian Car of the Year Awards (CCOTY) program. Seventy (70) of Canada’s top automotive journalists judged this year’s competition which aims to provide consumers with sound, comparative information on new vehicles.

The 2011 CTS-V Coupe combines the new CTS Coupe’s dramatic design with the 556-horsepower supercharged V-8 engine from the CTS-V sedan. The result is a luxury sports coupe aimed squarely at driving enthusiasts. Its suite of technical and performance elements include Magnetic Ride Control, racing-bred Brembo brakes and an available automatic transmission with paddle-shift control. With a starting price of $71,250, the all-new CTS-V Coupe offers Canadian driving enthusiasts a world class luxury performance coupe.

Few will question that the Cadillac CTS might be the best car Caddy has ever built. In fact, you could pretty much say it is world class. The sedan has won over legions of owners, especially in the wicked CTS-V format. The newly introduced wagon added an even more family friendly element. The only problem is that the intended target market might be more interested in 2 doors rather than 4 or a wagon. The answer? Create a coupe that is every bit as world class as the rest of the family and don’t forget a seriously quick V version.

Cadillac has done just that. The new coupe not only looks stunning, but promises to be an even better performer thanks to less weight and a stiffer chassis, not to mention having better aero.

Fortunately, it isn’t just the journos who feel that way. The readers of The Detroit News have voted and they have awarded the CTS Coupe the Best In Show award. GM did well in other categories as well, with the Cadillac XTS concept winning the Future Fantasy/Concept award and Chevy Volt being named Most Earth Friendly.

2010 Cadillac CTS Sport Wagon

Oshawa, Ontario (September 1, 2009) – Cadillac has expanded its model line-up with the new 2010 CTS Sport Wagon which is available at Cadillac dealers beginning in September. Starting at an MSRP of $44,325 the new CTS Sport Wagon offers the same design and technical features of Cadillac’s centrepiece model, the CTS sport sedan – but in a striking wagon body style that effectively doubles the car’s cargo space. The all-wheel-drive model starts at an MSRP of $46,950.

“Cadillac’s first-ever wagon in Canada offers new dimensions of versatility and fuel efficiency in line with the changing priorities of luxury consumers,” said Marc Comeau, vice president of sales, service and marketing for GM of Canada. “The Sport Wagon provides impressive cargo flexibility while retaining the CTS’s acclaimed balance of performance and luxury, all with highway fuel consumption of just 7.2 L/100km.”
