The Jeep brand has never been what one might consider subtle, but while vehicle launches on off road trails are fun, they aren’t overly creative. The marketing gang at Jeep must have figured that out, because last Summer they decided to help the forest reclaim a city to showcase the new Cherokee SUV in a new ad spot called Detour.
Rather than just throw down a bit of dirt and some split rail fences on Vancouver’s Granville Street, the crew trucked in a million pounds of boulders, rocks and sand to anchor the scene which also include 80 hemlock trees and used 250,000 gallons of water. Oh, there were also a couple of wolves on hand just to add a bit of authentic wildlife.
This takes the term Urban Off-Roading to a whole new level!
