Before cars can go whizzing around a race track, one heck of a lot of dirt needs to be moved and that means diggers, and lots of them!
As the team at Area 27, a new facility being built in British Columbia, works towards the opening of their new fun zone, the crew from Lake Excavating moved in with their heavy equipment. Construction crews moved an incredible 200 dump trucks full of earth in a single hour! Now, you can actually see that this thing is going to be a race track!
Founded by a team that includes Canadian racing legends Trevor Seibert and Jacques Villeneuve, Area 27 will a country club style facility, but unlike some other facilities of that nature, the venue has been conceived of as a race track first and foremost. Designed by Villeneuve, Area 27 combines elements of some of the world’s most iconic race tracks and will host car and motorcycle races.
While the excavating crew did their thing, Ryley Seibert flew a drone overhead to capture some of the action. Driving these beasts to carve out the circuit might be as cool as driving a car on the track!
