This video begins with a short clip created by the folks at SPEED a few years back when Canadian racing icon Bill Brack opened the Toronto round of the Toyota Atlantic race to celebrate the storied series’ 30th anniversary.
We then move on to Gimli, Manitoba, where Brack battled torrential rain and names like Price Cobb, Bertil Roos and Bobby Rahal in 1974. It was a young Gilles Villeneuve who stole the show however, putting lessons learned in snowmobile racing to good use to win in the wet.
We finish up with Villeneuve sharing some thoughts on racing.
Time has not been overly kind to this vintage footage which some kind soul has digitized for us, but it is still a great watch. Sadly, I have no idea who to credit, as I found the footage on an old external hard drive that I use for travelling and have lent it out a few times. Someone must have left the files on there.
