One of the most common questions I am asked is “How do I get involved in racing?” Here in Canada, the easiest way is to visit the CASC’s website and look at the calendars. Go visit a race near you and talk to people. Don’t be shy, talk to drivers or people hanging around cars you find interesting. Tell them you are interested in becoming involved and find out what club they belong to. Pretty soon, you will find that you are being sucked in to the most addictive of hobbies/sports.
Not sure what you will experience at a local meet? The Canadian Automobile Sport Clubs Ontario Region has put together a series of fantastic short videos called Essence, which truly capture the essence of motorsport in Ontario.
The first is called Essence of CASC.
