The light truck market is the fastest growing segment of Canadian vehicle sales and with pickup trucks taking three of the top four spots in sales most months, Canadian consumers’ passion for trucks isn’t showing any signs of letting up. For that reason alone, the Canadian Truck King Challenge is one of the most important awards programs in this market.
Dating back to 2008 when it was founded by well known Canadian trucking journalist Howard Elmer, the Challenge differs from other programs in that the evaluation includes actually putting trucks to work.
Testing takes place on a 70 acre property in Ontario’s cottage country and includes an intensive off road course, heavy payload tests and towing tests and is conducted by a group of Canada’s top motoring journalists.
